Settings For Gossip!

This is the setting the audience first see as our two main characters walk out together talking about the party planned for that evening. The school bells ring (non diegetic) as the two walk out the doors. This still shot will be taken on a tripod to prevent shaking and it'll clearly capture the characters surroundings as we'll go on to follow them with the camera, starting with from behind them.

When shooting from behind the characters as they go through the doors we should make sure that random pupils don't walk past.

Through the first scene the audience are taken through the whole school setting we used to show the characters ages.

There are also two other settings that we used which were Jenna and Bryony's houses where we did the footage of stairs, bedrooms, Jenna's kitchen and Bryony's living room. Also, Zoe's living room for a few seconds when 'Jinx' is on the phone to 'Roxanne' who will be played by Ronnie but was Zoe's sister for the practise film sequence.

For the estate scenes we used two foot paths and showed the characters from a variety of angles but mainly from the back and front. When on the estate we had to be aware of cars and passing people, so if there was anyone around we stopped filming to prevent talking or road noises to be in the clip. If we picked up noises we would have had to edit them out.

For the ending few seconds we wanted to have it raining to show how Jinx's day is going down hill, this would have been pathetic fallacy but we obviously can't control the weather.

We used these settings as they are stereotypical of the teen angst genre which links back to our extensive research on all of the teen angst openings.
